Gone in 23 seconds: Lito Adiwang TKOs Indonesian foe in ONE return

Lito Adiwang couldn’t have scripted a more impressive comeback after being sidelined for 18 months.

The 30-year-old Baguio City native decimated Indonesia’s Adrian Mattheis on the undercard of ONE Friday Fights 34, which took place at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on September 22.

Despite coming off an injury-induced break, he exhibited no signs of rust, executing a swift dismantling of his opponent to secure a resounding technical knockout victory.

Adiwang refused to give an inch to Mattheis, coming out the gates to dish out solid blows that sent Mattheis crisscrossing around the ring before hitting the canvas.

“Thunder Kid” followed him on the ground, unleashing a barrage of punches to force referee Muhammad Sulaiman to save Mattheis from further punishment.

All it took for Adiwang was 23 seconds to get the job done, improving his professional record to 14-5 and arresting his two-fight losing skid.

Meanwhile, Mattheis returned to the losing territory with the heartbreaking defeat, dropping to an 11-7 slate.
