Angeli Gloriani captured fire to hand Barangay Ginebra a 15-10 win over NLEX Tuesday night in the PBA-Tag Heuer 3-on-3 Women’s Basketball Tournament at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Gloriani scored Ginebra’s last eight points to help the team deal the Road Warriors their first loss. Ginebra kept its unbeaten streak going, rising to 4-0 in Group A while NLEX wounded up with a 4-1 record in the elimination round.
Analyn Almazan scored back to back and-one plays to give NLEX a 10-5 lead early on, before MJ Galicia made a two to cut the deficit down to just 10-7.
Gloriani then hit a free throw, followed by a key long range shot wherein she was also fouled. Gloriani sank the bonus charity then went on to make two more foul shots before ending the match with another two.
Alaska won the first game over Mahindra via default. The Aces wounded up with a 3-2 record in Group A while the Enforcers sank to 1-3.
