Global Hoops 2026 concluded its activities on March 29 with an outreach program in Barangays 143 and 145 along Rodriguez Avenue, and Pastor Street in Balut, Tondo.
It was a fun-filled day as players from Crossover Durham and Proudly Pinoy Italy experienced the other side of Manila, helping them realize the community they play for.
“After every NBTC tournament, we make it a point to cap our activities with an outreach like this,” said Global Hoops founder Mike Cruz. “It’s our way of giving back and reminding our players of the bigger purpose behind their game.”
Jason Bundalian and the rest of the teams not only distributed food to the children of the barangays but also conducted a basketball clinic at the local street courts.
Crossover Durham reached the semifinals of the NBTC Division 2 tournament, while Proudly Pinoy also competed in Division 2.
The outreach was made possible with the support of Jollibee, Smart Sports, and Wilson Philippines.
“We are truly grateful to our sponsors for supporting this initiative,” added Cruz. “Special thanks also to Kagawad Ronnel Aniban for helping us organize and make this outreach a success.”
Global Hoops wrapped up their NBTC campaign with a fellowship night for all teams on March 30.
