Ginebra’s Pia Wurtzbach headlines muses for PBA opener

2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach will headline the muses of teams in the Philippine Basketball Association’s opening festivities of its 44th season, Sunday at Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

Wurtzbach will be the muse of crowd favorites Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.

The former Miss Universe will not be the only beauty queen who will grace the opening salvo, as 2016 Miss International Kylie Verzosa will serve as the muse for four-time all-Filipino champs San Miguel Beermen.

2018 Mutya ng Pilipinas winner and 2018 Miss Tourism International participant Aya Fernandez will be in the opener as well, on the side of the NorthPort Batang Pier.

The Filipina athlete is also well-represented in the curtain-raiser.

The Blackwater Elite will have two-time Olympian swimmer Jasmine Alkhaldi and Michele Gumabao, while the NLEX Road Warriors will have decorated Ateneo de Manila volleyball star Alyssa Valdez.

Showbiz personalities will also be present. The Alaska Aces will have the up-and-coming Klea Pineda, while the Phoenix Fuel Masters will have seasoned actress Yam Concepcion.

The Magnolia Hotshots will have the Megastar, Sharon Cuneta.

The TNT KaTropa, the Columbian Dyip, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, and the Meralco Bolts have yet to announce who their respective muses will be.
