Ginebra-TNT Christmas Day clash to have earlier start time

The PBA slightly revised the schedule of its Christmas Day games.

In a memo, the rivalry affair between Ginebra and TNT on December 25 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum has been moved to 6:30 p.m.

The match was originally scheduled at 8 p.m.

Pushing through as planned, on the other hand, is the 4 p.m. encounter featuring San Miguel and current second-seed Phoenix Super LPG.

It should be an interesting pair of Season 48 Commissioner’s Cup fixtures, with the double-header’s nightcap a rematch of last season’s Governors’ Cup Finals.

The Tropang Giga won that series in six thanks to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, but they’ll be facing a Kings side without Justin Brownlee this time.

Meanwhile, the opening game may see the Beermen parading a new import by that time as they’re letting go of Ivan Aska for the taller Bennie Boatwright.

SMB is still missing June Mar Fajardo due to a fractured hand.

The crew will try to bolster their quarterfinal bid against a Fuel Masters squad that has already made it. The latter is currently toting a 6-1 card.
