Ginebra players, Marcio Lassiter sit out Gilas practice

Eleven players suited up for practice as Gilas Pilipinas resumed its preparations for the FIBA World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers this September 13 and 17, Tuesday evening at the Meralco Gym in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Unlike on Monday, Barangay Ginebra’s Japeth Aguilar, Scottie Thompson, and Greg Slaughter – alongside Marcio Lassiter of San Miguel Beermen – only watched from the sidelines, as Ginebra and San Miguel have games tomorrow in the PBA.

Beermen Alex Cabagnot and Christian Standhardinger, though, participated in the practice session, as well as Stanley Pringle, Poy Erram, and Allein Maliksi.

San Miguel will battle the Blackwater Elite, while Ginebra will take on the NorthPort Batang Pier tomorrow at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

Asi Taulava, Paul Lee, Beau Belga, Ian Sangalang, Raymond Almazan, Matthew Wright, and Gabe Norwood completed Tuesday evening’s workouts.

Head coach Yeng Guiao’s final 12-man lineup for their away match versus Hamed Haddadi and Iran on the 13th has yet to be known. Moreover, it is still unclear if the roster will be announced after tonight’s practice or later.

Gilas will host Qatar on September 17.
