Gilas Pilipinas Boys cruised to its second straight victory in the 2026 FIBA Under-18 Asian Championship SEABA Qualifiers, holding Singapore scoreless in the third quarter en route to a commanding 110-50 win on Thursday at Chan Ka Pho Gymnasium in Krabi, Thailand.
The Philippines improved to 2-0 in Pool A and secured a spot in the crossover semifinals alongside host Thailand, which defeated Vietnam, 81-55, later in the evening.
Despite already clinching semifinal berths, the Philippines and Thailand are still set to face off on Friday at 6 p.m. to determine the Pool A standings.
It was a dominant performance from Gilas Boys, who raced to an early 28-11 lead and never looked back.
The third quarter proved to be the Philippines’ most explosive stretch, as it erupted for 33 points while completely shutting out Singapore.
Prince Cariño led the charge, scoring nine of his game-high 21 points in the period. He also hauled down seven rebounds.
UP recruit Joaquin Tovera added 17 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and three steals, while Pat Pasinos contributed 13 points and six rebounds.
Kyle Sardon and Ziv Espinas chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively, as every player fielded by head coach Juno Sauler found their way onto the scoresheet.
Gilas opened its campaign on Wednesday with a dominant 121-28 victory over Vietnam.
Shabbir Shajan was the lone double-digit scorer for Singapore, which dropped to 0-2, finishing with 14 points.
