Geuel Asia bares why he will wear a facemask in PNVFCL games

LIPA CITY, BATANGAS — It’s better safe than sorry for VNS team captain Geuel Asia, who opted to wear a face mask during the opening game of the PNVF Champions League on Monday.

According to Asia, he got so used to wearing face masks during practices that he decided to use one even during the official match.

For him, it’s better to be protected at all times especially now that the country is still suffering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hindi naman ako nahirapan kasi okay yung mask na ganito,” said the product of De La Salle University.

Asia’s Manileño Spikers pushed the stacked Go for Gold-Air Force to a tight five-set affair before eventually bowing out via a tough 25-23, 23-25, 25-19, 23-25, 11-15 loss.

The 25-year-old VNS skipper showed no signs of slowing down, finishing with 19 excellent sets along with five points.
