Geo Chiu signs with B2’s Ehime


Geo Chiu’s next stop will be in Japan.

The 6-foot-10 big man has signed with B.League Division 2 team Ehime.

The Orange Vikings made the announcement on Sunday.

“Hello everyone, I’m Geo Chiu, and I am truly grateful and honored to play for the Ehime Orange Vikings!” he said. “I’m very excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to see you all soon! Go Vikes!”

Chiu, 23, spent his high school and collegiate years at Ateneo de Manila University.

During UAAP Season 86, he played in 14 games.

Chiu also appeared in nine games for Gilas Men.

He decided to forgo his remaining year with the Blue Eagles when he signed with the Asian Tournament club Taiwan Mustangs.

Now, he joins an Orange Vikings team eager to rise in the B2 standings.

Ehime finished last season with a 23-37 record.
