Galang left frustrated with La Salle’s fifth set collapse

The Ateneo Lady Eagles put on an epic fifth set performance to avenge their first round loss to the De La Salle University Lady Spikers.

Up until the fifth set, Ara Galang had been playing marvellously, but even she could not stop Ateneo’s rampage.

The graduating open hitter was seen in tears right after the last point.

Alam ko kasi noong fifth set yung talagang nawala ako and di ako nakapag-cope up and contribute para sa team,” Galang explained.

Galang had 20 points, 14 digs, and 14 excellent receptions, but the Lady Spikers had just five points in the last set.

This could have possibly been Galang’s last Ateneo rivalry match in the UAAP. For them to meet again, both teams need to reach the Finals.

Although she might want another crack at the Lady Eagles, Galang knows they still have several hurdles to conquer before they get there.

“Di ko muna iniisip yung Finals. Ngayon may game pa kami against NU.
