Future basketball stars converge as Dominance Premier League kicks off


High-level grassroots action takes center stage as the 1st Dominance Premier Basketball League, powered by Sailun Tire, unfolds on Sunday at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

The best club and school-based teams in seven age divisions in Metro Manila will compete for pride and glory, aiming to emerge as the first-ever champions of this tournament, which showcases the future stars of Philippine basketball.

In addition to the cash prizes for the champions and runners-up, participants will also enjoy social media exposure, in-game photos, and team certificates.

The country’s top collegiate and high school coaches will also be invited to the playoffs to provide young players with an opportunity to showcase their skills and talent.

Titles will be contested in the 10-under, 11-under, 12-under, 13-under, 14-under, 16-under, and 18-under categories.

In the 12-under division, Hustle Squad, led by Rajko Manicad of De La Salle University-Integrated School and Edzel Tumandao of Colegio San Agustin Makati, is expected to draw attention, as well as Immuno Gummies, led by Nathan Singui of La Salle Green Hills and Rajko Baluyot of Ateneo de Manila University.

This tournament, sponsored by Cuzco Kola, Desely Corporation, Wilson, Apolega Tire and Services, and Arthroplasty and Orthopedics Laguna, with Perpetual Help Medical Center as the healthcare provider, will also feature teams like Aguilas and Nuvali in the 10-under category, JNB and Slix Camp in the 11-under category, LDG Academy and Red Pirates in the 12-under category, and Pilipinas Immuno Gummies and RA Elite in the 13-under categories.

Meanwhile, in the 14-under category, teams including Red Cubs Alabang, Green Sparrows, LDG Academy, RA Elite, and Slix will compete, while LDG Academy, Rosario Ballers Eggspress, RA Elite, and Slix will vie in the 16-under category, and Smash Basketball will participate in the 18-under category.
