Fritz Biagtan sets sights on second-straight win at ONE Friday Fights 38

Following his successful promotional debut this past February, Fritz Biagtan hopes to sustain the momentum by clinching his second consecutive win under the ONE Championship banner.

The 28-year-old native of Dasmariñas, Cavite is scheduled to lock horns with India’s Deepak Bhardwaj in a three-round flyweight bout on the undercard of ONE Friday Fights 38, taking place at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on October 27.

For “Kid Tornado,” this upcoming assignment is an opportunity to validate the promise he demonstrated in his maiden appearance earlier this year.

Biagtan (6-1) achieved a breakout performance, knocking out Nurmukhammad Adamkhonov in the third round to cement his position as a rising star in the organization that fans and pundits should keep an eye on.

It was a turning point in his professional career. For the longest time, Biagtan had been touted as one of the prolific up-and-comers wandering in the free-agent market, and his debut victory justified all the expectations placed on his shoulders.

Now, he is eager to build upon his success as another triumph may land him a spot on the main roster’s next premium live event.

Standing in his way is Bhardwaj, an opponent with a strong background in grappling. Moreover, the Indian standout boasts an undefeated record of 2-0.

Having his hand raised against Bhardwaj would be a significant step forward in Biagtan’s trajectory.
