With some Gilas prospects figuring in injuries, the national team got a timely boost.
Robert Bolick joined the national team’s practice session on Saturday at the Moro Lorenzo Gym in Quezon City.
Gilas head coach Chot Reyes posted a video of it on his Instagram account.
Bolick’s first and only appearance for the national team so far was back in the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China. In five games played, he averaged 8.6 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in five games played.
The 26-year-old guard out of San Beda has vastly improved since then, leading the league in scoring (20.5) and assists (9.3) in the ongoing PBA Governors’ Cup.
Bolick has re-signed with Northport on Friday evening.
Injured for Gilas are Roger Pogoy (calf) and Poy Erram (back).
The first window of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers takes place from February 24-28 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
