Ranked third in the world, Antwerp was the very first to reach the quarters after spoiling the debut of Omaha 3BALL by way of an 18-14 result, following up their 16-11 escape of Cebu Chooks! earlier to clinch the no. 1 seed of Pool A at 2-0.
Riga came in next right after through a dominant 22-8 conquest of Sansar MMC Energy to top Pool B, as the world No. 6 continued their winning ways after dealing Utsonomiya Brex a 22-14 defeat in their campaign opener.
Other teams that have secured their spot to the Final Eight are Amsterdam HiPRO and Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy with perfect slates as well.
Amsterdam first beat Saitama, 22-11, and then staved off a gutsy Jeddah side through a 22-19 decision to finish Pool C with a 2-0 card.
Ulaanbaatar, on the other hand, scored big wins against QD entrant Doha (21-10) and Lausanne Sport (20-14) to cement the Pool D top seed.
Eight teams will vie for the four remaining quarterfinal slots of the max-level FIBA 3×3 tournament, where USD 40,000 is up for grabs in the finale.
