Ex-UST commit LA Casinillo goes to NU

National University has found an apt replacement for Janjan Felicilda.

Bulldogs head coach Jeff Napa has secured the commitment of 2019 CESAFI Juniors Most Valuable Player LA Casinillo.

Casinillo previously committed to University of Santo Tomas as his dad Leo was a former staff for the Tiger Cubs.

But after two years, Casinillo had a change of heart.

There will be high expectations on the heady 6-foot guard as he will be entrusted a big role for NU.

“Malaking bagay na nakuha nain si LA kasi nawalan nga kami ng point guards,” said Napa.

Casinillo has been training in the United Kingdom over the past two years.

He will be eligible for UAAP Season 85.

Also set to make their NU debuts next season are Nat Tulabut, Renzo Abiera, and Kenshin Pedrones.
