Eduard Folayang set to feature new walkout song at ONE Fight Night 14

Eduard Folayang has chosen to add a special touch to his return to action this weekend—a new entrance song that carries a deeper meaning than meets the ear.

The 39-year-old Baguio City native is scheduled to run it back with Amir Khan on the supporting card of ONE Fight Night 14, which takes place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium this Saturday.

For the majority of his 24-bout career under the ONE Championship banner, fans have grown accustomed to hearing the thunderous sounds of Skillet’s “Hero” accompanying his walk towards the Circle.

As Folayang gears up for the rematch with Khan, he has decided to make a change. The Filipino superstar has personally confirmed to Tiebreaker Times that he will come out to the uplifting tune of “Lions” by Elevation Worship.

The song was released as the fourth track on the live album of the same name in March 2022, co-written by Brandon Lake, Chris Brown, and Pastor Steven Furtick. The powerful anthem peaked at No. 16 on the U.S. Hot Christian Songs chart, reflecting its widespread recognition and appeal.

The decision to switch to “Lions” is not merely a change of pace but a tribute to his new team, Lions Nation MMA, which he co-founded earlier this year alongside Kevin Belingon, Honorio Banario, Joshua Pacio, Edward Kelly, and Jeremy Pacatiw.

It also underlines the former ONE lightweight champion’s devout Christian beliefs and the public expression of his faith.

But that’s not the only change his loyal followers can anticipate from Folayang at ONE Fight Night 14. He will also be sporting a new look in the form of a different color for his trunks.

This alteration is part of the larger transformation brought about by Lions Nation MMA’s partnership with local lifestyle brand Iron Bunny Philippines, which has become the stable’s official outfitter for its debut campaign in the promotion.

Folayang’s uniform is expected to feature a regal combination of black and gold, denoting the hues embraced by the group he helped establish.
