Eduard Folayang will get to settle some unfinished business on ONE on TNT IV.
Folayang (22-10) and fellow legend Shinya Aoki (46-9) will write the final chapter on their storied rivalry on April 29 at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
This will be the rubber match between the two legends that everyone has been waiting for for the last two years.
Folayang shocked the world when he defeated Aoki during ONE: Defending Honor back on November 11, 2016.
Aoki was able to get back the win on his home soil during ONE: A New Era via a first round submission on March 31, 2019.
The two will enter the bout with different intentions.
Folayang, 36, has lost four of his last five bouts and is looking for a big win to catapult him back to the title picture.
On the other hand, Aoki, 37, is in the midst of a three-bout winning streak. A win will definitely bring him closer to a rematch with Christian Lee.
Folayang was originally scheduled to face Yoshihiro Akiyama but the latter suffered an injury in training in the same event.
Aoki, meanwhile, was supposed to face Sage Northcutt but the American tested positive for COVID-19.
