Terrafirma suffered a blow so tough in its 2022 PBA Philippine Cup meeting with NorthPort Saturday as it lost Ed Daquioag to a gruesome injury.
Anxiety filled the Ynares Center in Antipolo as the athletic guard appeared to have broken his right ankle following a bad landing as he tried to contest the shot of a driving Robert Bolick at the 5:26-mark of the third quarter.
His ankle, based on broadcast replays, was bent outward, thus the excruciating pain the 30-year-old felt as he was stretchered out of the playing court.

Daquioag was actually playing well against the Batang Pier. He left with four points, five rebounds, three assists, and a block in 17 minutes.
He has been sent to the hospital to further check his injury.
The UST product was actually the third Dyip player to go down in the match. First was Eric Camson, and then Isaac Go — both in the first quarter.
Camson fell on his back after an attempt to disrupt Jamie Malonzo mid-air with 9:44 to go. Go, meanwhile, suffered an apparent knee injury at the 5:24-mark after trying to go for a rebound, and had to be accompanied to the bench.
