Outside of Justin Brownlee, one other man was consistent against the Bay Area Dragons.
And it was none other than Christian Standhardinger.
Either playing off the bench or as a starter, the 6-foot-9 Filipino-German banger focus never wavered. And it earned him the 2022-23 Honda-PBA Press Corps Commissioner’s Cup Finals MVP.
Standhardinger averaged 10.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in the epic seven-game series – including 12 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in the championship-clincher.
This adds to the accolades the former University of Hawaii star has racked up in his six-year PBA career.
Back in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, he was the Best Player of the Conference. He was also a Mythical First Team member in 2019 and Second Team in 2021.
He was also part of the All-Defensive team in 2020.
Standhardinger, now a four-time PBA champion, was traded to Ginebra after a straight swap with Northport back in 2021.
Standhardinger also got a Honda PCX160.
