Thirdy Ravena and San-En came crashing down versus Allen Durham and Niigata, bowing 79-86, in the 2020-21 B.League Season, Sunday at Toyohashi City Gymnasium.
The three-time UAAP Most Valuable Player played 17 minutes in the game, finishing with 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting plus four rebounds and an assist.
However, Ravena was not on the floor in the last two minutes of the game. He botched a supposed rebound that led to a Rosco Allen bucket that gave Albirex BB a 79-73 lead.
Though Nenad Millenovic tried to keep NeoPhoenix alive, Durham powered his way to the paint. He eventually pushed his side to the biggest lead of the game, 85-75 with 1:09 left.
The loss snapped San-En’s three-game winning streak, dropping the home team to a 5-18 slate in the West District.
Niigata, on the other hand, went up to 7-16 in the East.
Allen led Niigata with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Durham scattered 17 points and 11 rebounds for Niigata.
Jason Washburn led Niigata with 22 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field.
Stevan Jerovatu paced NeoPhoenix with 24 points and nine rebounds.
Also scoring 10 markers each for San-En were Hayato Kawashima and Millenovic.
Kyle Hunt did not play in the game.
San-En will next face Akita Northern Happinets (13-9) on December 26 on the road.
