Dominic Tom lifts NCR FA to PFF U15 Boys National Championship

National Capital Region FA needed to dig deep to outlast Negros Occidental, 1-0, to bag the first-ever PFF Under-15 Boys’ National Championship, Friday at the National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.

Entering the deep waters, Dominic Tom scored the winner after knocking down a header from Rodrigo Marinas III at the 96th minute.

It was a perfect ending to a dominant campaign by NCR that saw them win all but one of their matches in the regional group stage. NCR defeated Mount Apo RFA, 4-0, last Wednesday to advance to the finale.

Tom ended the tournament as its top goal-maker with nine. He was also adjudged as the Most Valuable Player.

NCR’s Jose Antonio Gonzales was named as the best goalkeeper while Martin Merino was the best defender.

On the other hand, Dominic Dreyfus was named as the best midfielder.
