Dlar more determined to get elusive crown: ‘Hindi ako titigil’

After being denied a title once again, ONIC PH’s Gerald “Dlarskie” Trinchera bared that he will not stop until he finally reached his ultimate goal.

“Hindi ako titigil hanggat ‘di ako nag cha-champion,” Dlarskie told Tiebreaker Times in an exclusive interview.

The 22-year-old pride of Malabon City had the chance to claim his first-ever professional title when ONIC PH bulldozed its way to the grand finals of the M3 World Championship at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

However, Dlarskie – who already had three trips in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Finals – was turned back by a couple of familiar faces in the finale of the world meet.

ONIC PH was dealt a deflating 0-4 sweep by back-to-back MPL Philippines champion Blacklist International which was led by his former teammates Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario.

With another loss in the grand finals, Dlarskie’s personal tally went up to a grand total of four. But according to him, those losses will never drive him out of the game that gave him almost everything in life.

Instead, he is using those losses as motivation as he plans to mount a great comeback for the next season.

“Ang mga gusto kong maachieve, ang goal ko is mag champion muna, gusto ko pa mag back-to-back champion tapos gusto ko pang manatili sa esports kahit hanggang five years ganun, ‘di talaga ako mag re-retire hanggat maraming sumusuporta sa akin,” shared Dlarskie, who made it to the finals of the MPL PH Seasons Four, Five, and Eight.

For now, though, Dlarskie is planning to take a much-deserved breather first for the grind to come. Moreover, he vowed that the team will not let up during the break – promising that they will keep tabs on every update as they try to recuperate from the stinging loss.
