Deo Cuajao transfers to Letran

How did Colegio de San Juan de Letran solve losing Rhenz Abando? Well, by securing the commitment of another former University of Santo Tomas standout.

Deo Cuajao has tranferred from De La Salle University, enrolling at Letran on Friday.

Letran athletic director Fr. Vic Calvo, OP confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.

Back in 2019, Cuajao, a 6-foot-1 sniper, was recruited by Aldin Ayo to UST. He was able to showcase what he can do during the cancelled 2020 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup.

However, Cuajao and good friend Mark Nonoy moved to La Salle after the “Sorsogon bubble.”

Cuajao though only played limited minutes with the Green Archers, playing a total of just 61 minutes and 15 seconds in eight games played. He had totals of 12 points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Definitely, the native of Midsayap, North Cotabato will make an immediate impact with the Knights once he makes his debut come NCAA Season 99.

He still has three years of eligibility remaining.
