Demonkite hailed MPL MY MVP

Former RSG PH star Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto capped off his first stint in MPL Malaysia with a bang, taking home the Regular Season Most Valuable Player in Season 12 on Sunday evening.

“I feel so good because in a long time playing in PH, I didn’t get any award in the regular season. Only here in Malaysia,” said Demonkite during the awarding ceremonies prior to the grand finals clash between Team SMG and HomeBois.

Demonkite, who was shipped to RSG MY during the offseason and helped the team finish fourth, was also named the Best Jungler of the tournament.

With 20-year-old jungler leading the way, RSG MY had a dominant run in the regular season where they clinched the top seed after winning all but one of their nine matches. Unfortunately, the team failed to sustain their run in the playoffs as they lost to HomeBois and Team SMG, respectively.

Another Filipino in Red “Super Red” Bordeos of the Selangor Red Giants was also part of the tournament Dream Team, bagging the Best Gold laner plum.

Muhammad “RIPPO” Halim (RSG MY), Hazziq “Stormie” Rizwan (Team SMG), Mohammad “Xorn” Noor (HomeBois), and coach Idul “Skadaga” Aswar (RSG MY) complete the Dream Team.
