Dalph Panopio played heavy minutes in Cal State Bakersfield’s 85-60 win over Life Pacific, Sunday (Manila time) at the Icardo Center in Bakersfield, California.
Panopio played 19 minutes in the contest, tallying eight points, four assists, and three rebounds.
It was a wire-to-wire win for the Roadrunners that saw a breakaway late in the first half.
Knotted at 18-all, CSUB went on a huge surge, to gain a 43-30 lead.
CSUB would dominate the rest of the way, leading by as much as 37 points, 73-46, after a Ray Somerville layup with 7:39 left.
Kaleb Higgins led CSUB with 17 points, three assists, and two steals. Justin Edler-Davis, who was instrumental in the first half breakaway, got 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting with five boards while Justin McCall added 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
The Roadrunners went up to 1-1 for the season while the Warriors went down to 2-3.
Life Pacific was led by Pedro Leal-Cruz with 12 points.
Up next for Panopio and CSUB is a road game against Northern Arizona on Friday.
