Criss Cross further strengthened its already stacked middle blocker rotation by signing former Cignal and Alas Pilipinas standout Lloyd Josafat ahead of the 2026 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference, which opens later this month.
The King Crunchers officially welcomed the 6-foot-2 Josafat on Thursday.
“He’s got the hang time, we’ve got the crunch. Lloyd Josafat is here to keep the defense crisp and the net secure,” the team said in a Facebook post.
Josafat now joins what is widely regarded as one of — if not the best — frontlines in the league, alongside Kim Malabunga, Gian Glorioso, Poy Colinares, Rex Intal, and Lucca Mamone.
The 26-year-old former UE standout finished last year’s Reinforced Conference as the third-best blocker with 19 kill blocks, averaging 0.73 per set.
Criss Cross also bolstered its setter rotation by adding former Alas Pilipinas pool member Elijah Kim, who joins Adrian Villados, Eco Adajar, and Ish Polvorosa. The latter missed the previous Open Conference due to a knee injury.
Meanwhile, playmaker Geuel Asia and winger Krung Arbasto have been moved from the active roster to the coaching staff.
