Christian Stanhardinger misses Gilas practice

In the first practice of the Asian Games-bound Gilas Pilipinas, 12 players from the 14-man pool were present, Monday evening at the Meralco Gym in Pasig City.

The six players from the Rain or Shine core attended the session for the Asian Games – namely Gabe Norwood, Chris Tiu, James Yap, Raymond Almazan, Maverick Ahanmisi, and Beau Belga.

It also served as a reunion for former Elasto Painters Paul Lee (Magnolia) and Don Trollano (TNT).

Completing the cast were Kobe Paras, Stanley Pringle, and Asi Taulava.

Poy Erram was in street clothes.

Ricci Rivero arrived after the team meeting as he came off a 17-hour flight from Serbia.

Not present was Christian Standhardinger, who is still in the midst of the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals with the San Miguel Beermen.

Gilas Cadet Abu Tratter joined the practice.

SBP president Al Panlilio, Rain or Shine owner Raymond Yu, and POC official Ed Picson sat on the sidelines.

Yeng Guiao, together with Caloy Garcia and his staff, facilitated the practice session.
