Two of Gilas Pilipinas’ most revered figures will share their experiences with their fellow coaches in another session of the Hoop Coaches International Webinar hosted by Blackwater Elite.
Chot Reyes and Jimmy Alapag will be the guest speakers for Sunday evening’s online coaching seminar organized by Elite alternate governor and team consultant Ariel Vanguardia.
The webinar starts at 5:00 p.m., with Reyes set to discuss #HEARTofaLeader: What Puso is All About.
Puso was the battle cry of Reyes’ Gilas 2.0 crew responsible for the Philippines’ return to the FIBA World Cup after nearly 40 years. It has since been associated with the five-time Coach of the Year.
The eight-time PBA champion coach will then be followed by his former player Alapag, who will talk about building relationships within a team between coaches and players at 6:00 p.m.
The former national team captain is currently the head coach of the San Miguel Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League and an assistant coach with the San Miguel Beermen.
The sessions will be streamed on Youtube Live via Zoom in Hoop Coaches International’s official YouTube channel.
Blackwater is also holding a fundraising auction event, with proceeds going to the brave frontliners stepping up in the country’s ongoing battle against the novel coronavirus disease pandemic.
To be auctioned are coaching boards, books, DVDs, and other signed items from veteran bench tacticians such as Jong Uichico, Alex Compton, Nash Racela, among others.
