Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas start practice

The Meralco Gym opened its doors once again as Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas, the team that will represent the Philippines in the 2017 FIBA Asia Champions Cup, began its preparations for the club tournament that is set to take place from September 22-30 in Changzhu, China.

Though the team’s management has yet to announce its full line-up, there were a lot of cagers present on Monday evening.

Headlining the cast are second-generation stars Kiefer Ravena and Jeron Teng. Joining them are Carl Cruz, Raymar Jose, Achie Inigo, Jett Manuel, Andre Paras, and reinforcement Bright Akhuetie.

Helping train the team are practice players Robbie Herndon, Clay Crellin, Jamal Thomas, Joseph Gabayni, and Mikee Reyes, all brought in by Chooks-Pilipinas 3×3 coach Anton Altamirano.

Sitting on the sidelines are Terrence Romeo, Calvin Abueva, and Bobby Ray Parks, Jr.
