During its first year of partnership with the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, Chooks-to-Go has been active in supporting all the programs of the country’s basketball association. From the age group 3×3 tournaments to Gilas Pilipinas, the crown jewel of Bounty Agro Ventures Incorporated has not only been a sponsor but also a partner.
Chooks-to-Go has revved up its partnership with the SBP the past few months, financing the team that was sent to the Jones Cup, the Southeast Asian Games, and the Asia Champions Cup — the latter carrying the name Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas.
Many thought that the next step for Ronald Mascariñas was to buy an existing PBA franchise and join the big league. However, his journey with Gilas has given Mascariñas time to re-assess his company’s goal.
“The last few months of our association with Gilas gave us the realization na it is best for us to put all our resources behind the national team kesa magtayo ng sariling team,” said the amiable sportsman.
With this, Mascariñas is planning to continue supporting the national team as it enters the various windows of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers. Moreover, he is confident that the Chooks-to-Go-powered SMART Gilas Pilipinas will leave the first window of competition unscathed.
“Even if limited yung time to practice ng team natin, coach Chot was able to assemble a very strong team. Yung first two games natin, we have a good chance of winning,” Mascariñas proudly shared. “I’m just so happy na despite yung controversies sa PBA, they are still generous with the players. Coach Chot had the liberty to choose the best of the best.
“To SMART Gilas, good luck and I hope you continue inspiring our countrymen.”
