Chooks-to-Go rewards Gilas players for gallant stand against Australia

A night prior to their second homestand in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, Bounty Agro Ventures Incorporated president Ronald Mascariñas hosted a team dinner at Spiral in Sofitel Philippine Plaza.

Though coming off a loss last Thursday against Australia, Mascariñas saw the fight from Gilas during that game that was worth celebrating.

“We can never be more than what we are,” the founder of Chooks-to-Go said, quoting a movie he recently saw.

With this, Chooks-to-Go rewarded three players that showed great courage during that game.

For his inspiring outing, June Mar Fajardo, who tallied 15 points and two rebounds, was feted with the Player of the Game award.

“Maraming salamat sa Chooks-to-Go,” Fajardo said. “Pangako namin na gagawin namin ang best namin sa laro namin against Japan.”

Calvin Abueva was awarded the Puso award for his hustle while Kiefer Ravena became the third-ever recipient of the Sportsmanship Award.

As the small gathering ended at around 9:00pm, the team vowed to get back on the winning track.
