It did not take long for Regine Arocha to find a new home.
The two-time NCAA Finals Most Valuable Player has been signed by PVL team Choco Mucho.
And after her non-renewal with PSL club Sta. Lucia, the Arellano product could not help but be grateful for this new opportunity.
“Sobrang excited kasi young team yung team namin,” said the 23-year-old native of Angono, Rizal.
Last June, Arocha signed with the Lady Realtors. However, due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic, she was not able to play a single game with them.
Prior to signing with Sta. Lucia, Arocha signed off from Arellano after the NCAA Season 95 tournament was cancelled.
Besides being a two-time Finals MVP in the Grand Old League, Arocha was also the Season 93 Best Opposite Hitter and the first-ever Collegiate Press Corps Volleyball Player of the Year.
Arocha also previously played for PVL club Power Smashers which was handled by the late great Nes Pamilar.
In Choco Mucho, she joins Ponggay Gaston and Kim Gequillana as the Flying Titans’ outside hitters.
“Talagang kailangan namin magtulong-tulong for a better result,” said Arocha, a three-time NCAA champion.
“Siyempre go hard sa training at feeling ko magkakasundo kaming lahat kasi halos magkaka-age kami.”
