After barely playing during her time with F2 Logistics, Chinnie Arroyo is embracing her bigger role with Farm Fresh in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
Following an eight-point performance in their debut loss to defending champion Creamline, the former National University standout stepped up and steered Farm Fresh to a 25-16, 25-18, 25-16 win over Capital1 on Thursday at the Philsports Arena.
Arroyo delivered 11 points in the one-hour, 18-minute encounter and was named Player of the Game.
“Wala po niyayakap ko lang po tong role ko ngayon kasi wala po akong choice e, charot lang,” said Arroyo in jest.
“Niyayakap ko lang tong role na to kasi never pa naman ako nagka-ano dati sa iba kong team. So ito yung chance ko ngayon so niyayakap ko talaga to.”
Now carrying an important role for an up-and-coming squad, the former UAAP champion said that she is just applying everything that she learned from their training and that she just treats every game like a championship match.
Arroyo said that it helped that she feels comfortable around her new teammates, who embraced her with open arms since she arrived on the team.
