After missing last season’s edition, Charles Rhodes will return to reinforce the San Miguel Beermen in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The second conference is expected to start mid-May.
The 6-foot-10 slotman made the announcement via Instagram, Wednesday morning.
Rhodes is known for helping the Beermen snag the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup championship. It was also his first-ever taste of a title in his career as a pro basketball player.
The native of Galveston, Texas averaged 28.4 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game.
He was also named as the Best Import of the tournament.
Rhodes was expected to suit up for SMB in 2018, but San Miguel opted to go with Renaldo Balkman. They lost their hold of the throne that time to Justin Brownlee and the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
Rhodes is coming off a stint with Incheon ET Land Elephants in the Korean Basketball League, where they recently lost to Ricardo Ratliffe’s Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus in the Finals.
