Ch4knu is the best Grock user in the MPL, says P4kbet

Omega Esports technical coach Jomie “P4kbet” Abalos had nothing but good words towards Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog’s usage of Grock after the latter spearheaded the team’s entry to the playoffs on Friday night.

Ch4knu, who has been always considered one of the best Grock users in the professional scene, showed his brilliance on the tank hero in Omega Esports’ 2-1 reverse sweep of Nexplay EVOS in the second round of the MPL Philippines Season 10 regular season.

After losing Game One, the former All-MPL team member delivered the game-winning Wild Charge on Mariusz “Donut” Tan’s Irithel during the 16th minute of Game Two which helped the SMART-backed squad even the series at 1-all.

In Game Three, Ch4knu was already recalling his way back to Omega Esports’ base during a clash entering the 17th minute but eventually found an opening that saw him knock up Donut (Clint), Jeniel “YellyHaze” Bata-anon (Yve), and Ken “Kzen” Pile (Akai) for the win.

He delivered two kills and eight assists in Game Two before putting up a clean 1-0-7 KDA line in the clincher.

P4kbet said that he already expected this kind of performance from his star tank, who according to him, really excels with playmaking heroes. He even went as far as to say that Ch4knu is the best Grock user in the league.

Ch4knu, meanwhile, downplayed his coach’s statements. Nevertheless, he was thankful for P4kbet’s kind words and said that he will use this as motivation moving forward.

“Oo (favorite ko), since Season Four yun lagi gamit ko. Lalo na nung ‘di pa siya nerfed dati, yung first skill niya yung walang cooldown. Sa ranked game lagi kong ginagamit yun,” said Ch4knu.

“Sa MPL ngayon ako pa lang kasi yung maraming Grock kaya ako muna (pinakamagaling), saka na sila,” added Ch4knu.

“Thank you sa sinabi niya, lalo akong na-motivate.”
