Centro Escolar University made a swift coaching change in the UCAL-PGFlex Linoleum 7th Season, parting ways with Britt Reroma after just two games.
According to multiple sources, the Scorpions’ management decided to release Reroma on Saturday, with coaches from CEU’s Malolos team taking over practice that day.
Reroma had been appointed as head coach following the 2024 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup, replacing Jeff Perlas.
However, CEU struggled in the UCAL tournament, starting 0-2 after falling to host Diliman College Blue Dragons, 65-55, on opening day, and suffering a 95-90 defeat to the University of Batangas Brahmans last Thursday.
Following the slow start, the two-time defending champions opted to move on from Reroma.
Sources also indicated that former Blackwater head coach Bong Ramos is being considered as the Scorpions’ next head coach.
CEU returns to action on Thursday against World Citi College.
If Ramos takes over, he will become the Scorpions’ fourth head coach in three years, following Chico Manabat, Perlas, and Reroma.
