Cayuna foregoes final year in FEU, joins Guino-o in Perlas

Perlas introduced their two newest acquisitions on Wednesday evening.

The team formally welcomed Far Eastern University products Gel Cayuna and Heather Guino-o.

“Not a surprise to all but we would like to formally welcome Gel Cayuna and Heather Guino-o as Perlas’ addition to the family. With a wealth of calm energy and bond, we know Gel and Heather will be a great boost to the team.”

This would mean that the 22-year-old Cayuna will no longer return to the Lady Tamaraws for UAAP Season 84.

Cayuna, a 5-foot-7 playmaker, previously played for PSL clubs PLDT and United VC and PVL team BaliPure.

On the other hand, Guino-o, 23, is a 5-foot-7 open hitter who last played for FEU in Season 81.

She was part of Tacloban and Choco Mucho in 2018 before moving to Creamline in 2019.

During the 2019 season, Perlas, then backed by BanKo, finished in third place during the Open Conference.
