Carleigh Frilles scores brace as Filipinas romp Papua New Guinea in friendly


Carleigh Frilles and the Philippine Women’s National Football Team torched Papua New Guinea, taking a dominant 5-1 win in a friendly, Sunday at the Wanderers Football Park in Sydney.

The 20-year-old midfielder scored at the 29th and 60th to lead Alen Stajcic’s wards.

Tahnai Annis scored at the 38th minute while Eva Madarang and Meryll Serrano added their names on the scoresheet at the 56th and 77th minutes.

On the other hand, Papua New Guinea pulled one back at the 54th minute.

Both teams will face each other again on Thursday at the same venue.
