Carl Tamayo joins Gilas Cadets practice

There was a new kid in town during the Gilas Pilipinas Cadets’ third practice in preparation for the 2018 Filoil Flying V Premier Cup.

Six-foot-seven Carl Tamayo from the Nazareth School of National University joined the 23 for 2023 Gilas cadets’ session, Thursday evening at the Meralco Gym in Pasig City.

Tamayo, who is on the wishlist of Batang Gilas for the 2018 FIBA Under-17 World Cup, took part in his second-ever practice for the Nationals.

Arvin Tolentino and Kenneth Tuffin of FEU; Paul Desiderio, Will Gozum, and Juan Gomez de Liano of UP; and Javee Mocon of San Beda were also in attendance. Mainstay Ricci Rivero completed the night’s cast.

Just like last Wednesday, J-jay Alejandro had a protective boot on his right leg after suffering a sprain last Tuesday.

Presiding over the session was coaches Jong Uichico and Ryan Betia.

Coach Chot Reyes watched on the sidelines.
