The woes of Kemark Carino and Aomori continued Saturday evening, absorbing a 77-55 loss to Sendai in the 2021-22 B.League Division II season at the Xebio Arena in Sendai.
The Wat’s suffered their eighth straight loss, falling to 1-13 in the standings.
Still finding a replacement for Michael Craig, Aomori again fielded just 10 players in the contest.
But the 89ers unleashed a balanced first quarter attack that riddled the Wat’s to gain a 21-10 lead.
It was all Sendai in the contest, leading by as much as 27 points, 77-50, with 1:44 left in the game.
Sendai, who went up to 9-5, had four players who scored in double-figures.
Leading the way was Masaharu Kataoka with 14 points built on four triples.
Justin Burrell got 13 points and six rebounds; Devin Oliver tallied a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds; while Jerome Meyinsse added 11 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block.
Aomori, who shot just 44-percent from the field and was outrebounded 42-30, only had Kouki Fujioka score in double-figures with 12 points.
Carino played 18 minutes in the game, finishing with four points and four rebounds.
The two squads face off again tomorrow at 2:00PM.
