Carino a DNP as Aomori drops 10th straight game in B.League


Kemark Carino did not see action in Aomori’s 67-82 loss to Nara in the 2021-22 B.League Division II season, Saturday at the Roth Arena.

The product of San Beda had been averaging 12 minutes a game for the Wat’s prior to this game. He also has norms of 2.0 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

It was another struggle for Aomori as it entered the final frame behind 52-64.

The troika of Kiichi Kikuyama, Ryan Richards, and Renaldo Dixon were able to chop the lead down to 72-65 with 3:49 left. Then Bambitious answered right back with a 10-2 finishing kick to send Aomori to its 10th straight loss.

Greg Mangano had a monster game for Nara, scoring 34 points while grabbing seven rebounds.

Nara rose to 5-11 in the standings.

David Doblas added 15 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks. Dai Suzuki chipped in 12 points.

Aomori, who only played nine players, had Ryan Richards lead the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Dixon had 12 points on 6-of-6 shooting while Hayate Komagawa got 11 points.

The Wat’s fell to 1-14.

The two squads face off again tomorrow.
