Capital1 reloads with Jerilli Malabanan, five new signings ahead of PVL On Tour

Jerilli Malabanan is making her return to the Premier Volleyball League, joining Capital1 as part of the team’s latest wave of signings ahead of the 2025 PVL On Tour, the franchise announced on Friday.

Malabanan will be joined by former Petro Gazz middle blocker KC Galdones, ex-PLDT veteran Rachel Austero, and former ZUS Coffee standouts Ypril Tapia and Nikka Yandoc.

The Solar Spikers continue to bolster their roster following the selection of National University star Bella Belen as the top overall pick in the recent draft.

The 25-year-old outside hitter last saw action in the PVL during the 2023 Second All-Filipino Conference, suiting up for Cignal.

She is set to reunite with former mentor Roger Gorayeb — now serving as Capital1’s team consultant — whom she played under during their title run in the 2017 PVL Open Conference.

Malabanan and the new signees will reinforce a retooled Capital1 squad that also secured the services of draftees Pia Abbu and Ivy Aquino.

The Solar Spikers will kick off their PVL On Tour campaign with back-to-back matches against Creamline and Cignal on Sunday and Monday, respectively.
