Calvin Abueva returns to practice, completes Asia Cup XII

After being given an ultimatum by Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes on Sunday night, Calvin Abueva was present during the national team’s fifth practice for both the Asia Cup and the Southeast Asian Games on a rainy Monday night.

Abueva, who has been missing in action the past week, also returned to the Alaska Aces’ practice on Monday morning.

And for the first time, the Asia Cup team is complete, as June Mar Fajardo, Gabe Norwood, Jayson Castro, Christian Standhardinger, Terrence Romeo, Roger Pogoy, Raymond Almazan, Japeth Aguilar, Jiovani Jalalon, Matthew Wright, and Carl Cruz were all present.

Listed team official Ed Daquioag also participated. The continental tiff tips off on August 8.

For the SEA Games team, Bobby Ray Parks Jr., Kobe Paras, Von Pessumal, Mike Tolomia, Raymar Jose, Almond Vosotros, and Kiefer Ravena were in attendance. Stand-by player Mac Belo completed tonight’s roster.

An interesting observer on the sidelines was PBA Commissioner Chito Narvasa.
