Calvin Abueva hasn’t been reporting to Alaska Aces practice for days now, sources have told Tiebreaker Times.
This is now the second time that the Beast has been missing in action. The last time it happened was in the 2018 Philippine Cup due to family issues.
This time, though, the reason behind his recent absences has yet to be identified.
Abueva was last seen in the PBA All-Star Week last Sunday, where he made 41 points and 27 boards in a losing effort as SMART lost to Visayas, 157-141.
The 6-foot-2 forward is currently averaging 10.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in the 2018 Commissioner’s Cup, where Alaska are 4-1.
Abueva was also nowhere to be found in the Aces’ match against the GlobalPort Batang Pier this Saturday afternoon at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
