Suspended Phoenix Fuel Master Calvin Abueva was at the Filoil Flying V Centre on Friday evening.
After all, his home team Pampanga Giant Lanterns was playing in the 2020 Chooks-to-Go/MPBL Lakan Quarterfinals.
“Support lang,” said Abueva when asked why he was at the venue.
For starters, Abueva is a resident of San Juan and owns a small restaurant that is near the arena.
So when he learned that Pampanga’s game would be at the San Juan venue, he made sure to support his team — even giving a pep talk to the Green Lanterns before they took to the floor.
When the game versus San Juan tipped off, Abueva sat beside father-figure and current Pampanga governor Dennis Pineda and Senator Manny Pacquiao.
Abueva is currently serving an indefinite suspension in the PBA.
