Caloocan grabbed the solo lead on Tuesday in the MPBL 2026 Season at the Caloocan Sports Complex.
The Batang Kankaloo trounced the Negros Hacienderos, 77-49, in the nightcap to secure their third straight win in the round-robin elimination phase of the two-division, 28-team tournament.
Negros actually kept things close early, even tying the game at 37-all after a triple from Jan Formento.
But Caloocan responded with an 11-point surge, highlighted by a Kymani Ladi dunk, to pull away for good and never look back.
Ladi led the Batang Kankaloo with 19 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, while Kean Baclaan added 11 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
Jielo Razon chipped in nine points and three rebounds.
Negros, which once led 18-8, absorbed its first defeat of the season as Formento finished with 18 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
