Bryan Faundo added in approved Baser Amer-Mac Belo trade

The PBA’s trade committee added another Meralco player in order to approve the Baser Amer-Mac Belo trade.

The Bolts are also sending veteran big man Bryan Faundo to Blackwater in the revised proposal that received the go-signal on Thursday afternoon.

Faundo, a 36-year-old center who stands at 6-foot-6, averaged 2.4 points and 2.5 rebounds inside the PBA bubble.

“I’ve been with Baser for a long time so it was difficult to come to this decision. He’s a valuable point guard and has been a big part of our team for the last five years. We are very, very thankful and grateful for his service,” Meralco head coach Norman Black said about giving up Amer, who spent the first five years of his career with the Bolts.

“We’re also thankful for Bryan’s service to the team. He’s been with us for five years and Bryan has been a really important part of the Bolts,” added Black through the team’s official Twitter account.

A three-time All-Star, Amer played in 18 games for Meralco in the bubble, averaging 9.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per contest.

The 27-year-old will fit the point guard spot greatly missing from Blackwater for the last two seasons.

Belo, on the other hand, was the top overall pick during the 2016 PBA Gilas draft.

The 6-foot-4 forward is also a three-time all-star.

In the Bossing’s campaign in the bubble, Belo averaged 11.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.
