Brooke Van Sickle once again stamped her class on the Premier Volleyball League, clinching her second straight Most Valuable Player award in the 2024–25 All-Filipino Conference on Thursday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Petro Gazz powerhouse, who has become the heart and soul of the Angels’ campaign, delivered yet another MVP-worthy performance throughout the season. The Fil-Hawaiian outside hitter was a picture of reliability, combining offense, defense, and leadership to steer Petro Gazz back to the Finals stage.
Van Sickle was the third-best scorer of the conference, amassing 349 total points composed of 296 attacks, 30 blocks, and a league-best 23 service aces. Her spiking efficiency of 36.86% also ranked second in the league — proving her deadly accuracy at the net.
But it was her dominance at the service line that separated her from the rest. Averaging 0.38 aces per set, Van Sickle led all players in serving, showcasing not just power but precision from the baseline.
Defensively, she held her own as well — finishing third in receiving efficiency at 35.37% and sixth in digging with 2.89 digs per frame. Her two-way brilliance was instrumental in keeping Petro Gazz in contention all conference long.

Joining Van Sickle among the conference’s top performers were PLDT’s Savannah Davison and Creamline’s Bernadeth Pons, who were both named Best Outside Spikers.
This marks Davison’s first individual citation in the PVL since arriving in 2023. The explosive Fil-Canadian ranked second in overall scoring with 355 points and led all spikers with a 38.62% success rate. She also contributed on defense, placing ninth in blocks (0.52 per set) and eighth in receiving (28.60%).
Pons, meanwhile, added another feather to her cap by earning her first Best Outside Spiker award. The Creamline mainstay delivered consistently on both ends, landing fourth in spiking efficiency (34.58%) and finishing as the 12th top scorer with 195 points.
Farm Fresh sensation Trisha Tubu took home the Best Opposite Spiker award for the second time in her young career. Tubu was a constant scoring threat for the Foxies, finishing sixth overall with 227 points while ranking third in spiking efficiency at 36.05%.
In the middle blocker position, Creamline’s Bea De Leon and ZUS Coffee’s rookie standout Thea Gagate emerged as the top selections.
De Leon, a veteran anchor for the Cool Smashers, led the league in blocking with an impressive 0.77 average per set. Gagate wasn’t far behind — recording 48 total blocks, the most among all players.
She also posted a 0.74 blocks per set average and chipped in 190 points to become the highest-scoring middle blocker in the tournament.
Another Cool Smasher, Kyle Negrito, stood out in the playmaking department as she secured her third Best Setter honor. Negrito led the league in set distribution with 4.98 excellent sets per set, while also ranking fifth in service aces with a 0.25 average.
Choco Mucho’s Thang Ponce solidified her reputation as the country’s premier libero, bagging her third Best Libero title. Ponce was a wall on the floor, leading all receivers with a 47.83% efficiency and ranking fourth in digs with 3.31 per set.
Rounding out the individual awardees was Cignal’s Ishie Lalongisip, who claimed the Rookie of the Conference title after stepping up big-time in the absence of key players for the HD Spikers.
Drafted seventh overall this year, Lalongisip finished third among all rookie scorers and ranked 28th overall with a total of 134 points.
