BREN, Omega in separate pools for MPL-PH 7

Reigning world champion BREN Esports will lead a stacked Group A, while M2 participant Omega Esports headline Group B of the upcoming MPL-Philippines Season Seven.

The kings of Mobile Legends will join former MPL champions Aura PH and Cignal Ultra along with ONIC PH and first-timer Work Auster Force in Group A.

Meanwhile, Season Six grand finalist Omega Esports will have Execration, Blacklist International, Nexplay Esports, and Laus Playbook Esports in Group B.

Teams will play best-of-three matches throughout the eight-week group stage.

After the regular season, the top four teams of each group will advance to the playoffs, which have reverted to the double-elimination format after applying the single-elimination system in the previous season.

Playoff games will be a best-of-five series, with the exception of the grand finals. The last two teams will play in a best-of-seven series.

All ten teams will be fighting for a total of $120,000 prize pool.

The MPL-Philippines Season Seven regular season will open on March 19. The playoffs will take place from May 29 to 30, while the grand finals will take place on June 5 to 6.
