BPC Scottie Thompson hailed PBA Govs’ Cup Finals MVP

Scottie Thompson completed his personal PBA Governors’ Cup sweep.

After winning the Best Player of the Conference plum, Thompson was hailed as the 2022 PBA Press Corps Governors’ Cup Finals Most Valuable Player.

And the anointed next face of Ginebra put on a sensational campaign in the six-game series.

“Speechless ako. Grabe, 20,000 fans kung hindi dahil sa inyo, hindi namin makukuha ito,” said the Davao native as he soaked in the adulation of the sold out SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The 6-foot-1 do-it-all guard got averages of 17.83 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.17 steals in the series.

Besides the trophy, Thompson will also bring home a Honda PCX 60 scooter.

This is Thompson’s second Finals MVP award as he also won the trophy back in the 2018 PBA Commissioners’ Cup.

Being just 28 years old, it seems like Thompson will have more crowns ahead of him.

All PBA games stream live on GigaPlay. Download it now on Android or IOS.

The Finals are also livestreamed on SMART Sports.
